Back to School Resource & Services Fair Hosted by A Safe Place & Source Hub
A Safe Place and Source Hub invite the Nantucket community to our Back to School Resource & Services Fair on Thursday August 24th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Nantucket Intermediate School (cafeteria). This resource fair is for all families who have children returning to school this fall and is inclusive of a special focus on resources and services available to our island immigrant community.
Both on and off island organizations will be on hand providing information and, in some instances, services covering topics such as health, education, food security, housing, financial stability, knowing your rights, and documentation, with resource providers being asked to provide information in multiple languages. Children’s schools supplies will be available to all families while supplies last.
The growing list of providers who will attend this event include but are not limited to: A Safe Place, Nantucket Community School, Nantucket Public Schools, Nantucket Family Resource Center, Federation for Children with Special Needs, Community Action Committee of Cape Cod & Islands Health Connector, and the Health Ministry.
If you would like to donate to this special event, A Safe Place is happily collecting school supplies as well as children’s learning and play items for a door prize basket. We look forward to a fun and informative evening for all!
